NIT Trichy Summer Internship 2025 Merit List Released: Over 300 Students Selected Nationwide

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) has officially released the merit list for its Summer Internship Programme 2025, drawing participation from hundreds of undergraduate students across India. This prestigious research internship is highly sought after for the valuable technical mentorship it provides under the guidance of NITT’s expert faculty.

Internship Overview: Research-Focused, Mentor-Led Program

The NIT Trichy Summer Internship 2025 is specifically designed for non-NITT undergraduate students from engineering, science, and management backgrounds. The program will run from May 1 to July 31, 2025, with a flexible duration of 4 to 8 weeks, as decided mutually between the student and the faculty mentor.

Participants are placed under experienced faculty from departments such as:

• Computer Science and Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• Chemical Engineering

• Mathematics

• Management Studies, among others

Interns gain practical exposure to real-world research environments, enhancing their academic and technical skills.

Merit List Highlights: Diverse Representation Across Institutions

The merit list, published on April 15, 2025, includes 300+ students selected from top-tier institutions such as:

• IITs, IIITs, and other NITs (excluding NIT Trichy)

• Central and state universities

• Private institutions like VIT, SRM, Sastra, and SSN

To be eligible, students had to secure consent from an NITT faculty mentor by email before submitting their application. The absence of a consent letter led to disqualification, even for otherwise strong applicants.
