Small plane crashes into residential building in Western Germany, two dead

A small plane crashed into the terrace of a residential building in Korschenbroich, western Germany, on Saturday, killing two people, police said.

The crash occurred near the city of Mönchengladbach, close to the Dutch border. A fire broke out after the aircraft struck the building's terrace.

Authorities confirmed that two people died in the incident. According to German news agency dpa, one of the victims is likely the pilot of the plane. It remains unclear whether the second victim was on board the aircraft or on the ground when the crash occurred.

Officials have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
