Singer Adnan Sami, who was born in Pakistan but became an Indian citizen in 2016, has spoken out in support of ‘Operation Sindoor’. This was a military action by India targeting nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). On X (formerly Twitter), Adnan wrote, “Jai Hind!! #OperationSindoor,” showing his strong backing for the Indian Armed Forces.

He also took a dig at Pakistani TV News by putting up a post saying “Pakistani TV News Anchors Right Now!! “AAAAL IS VELLLL !!!”

Adnan Sami’s strong words on Pakistan’s army
Before praising the operation, just a few days ago on May 4, Adnan had shared a story. He said, “Met some very sweet Pakistani boys while walking on the beautiful streets of Baku, Azerbaijan… They said “Sir, You are very lucky.. You left Pakistan in good time.. We also want to change our citizenship…WE HATE OUR ARMY…They have destroyed our country!!” I replied, I knew”

Bollywood celebs praise ‘Operation Sindoor’

Apart from Adnan, many Bollywood celebrities also praised the Indian Armed Forces for their efforts in ‘Operation Sindoor’. Actress Kangana Ranaut showed her support for the successful mission by posting on her X handle, "Operation Sindoor: Zero tolerance to terror. The Indian Armed Forces launched a precision mission, Operation Sindoor; 9 terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir neutralized (sic)."

The ‘Emergency’ actress also shared video clips from the deadly terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam on April 22, along with a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech where he promised a strong and fitting response to Pakistan.

On her Instagram stories, Kangana also sent prayers and good wishes to the brave soldiers, writing, “Jo hamaari rakhsha karte hain, ishwar unki rakhsha kare (May God protect those who protect us). Wishing our forces safety and success #operationsindoor.” Kangana has often shown her support for the armed forces, and once again she stood firmly by them—showing pride in their actions and calling for a tough response to terrorism.

Actor Akshay Kumar shared his feelings with a simple message: "Jai Hind. Jai Mahakaal!" Riteish Deshmukh wrote, "Jai Hind Ki Sena...Bharat Mata Ki Jai!" and Nimrat Kaur added, "United with our forces. One country. One mission."

What is Operation Sindoor?
The Ministry of Defence announced on Wednesday morning that the Indian Armed Forces have launched a new mission called 'Operation Sindoor'. This operation involved targeted attacks on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These places were believed to be key bases where attacks against India were being planned and managed.

In its official statement, the Ministry said, "A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'OPERATION SINDOOR', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted."

The Ministry also said that the operation was carefully planned and carried out in a controlled way. "Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution."

This mission was a direct answer to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, where 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali tourist were killed. The Ministry added, "These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack… We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable."
