PM Modi Saturday launched two mega central schemes, with a total Rs 35,440 crore outlay, to transform 100 low-performing agricultural districts and increase production of pulses to reduce imports. Addressing a gathering of farmers and farm policymakers at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, the PM urged farmers to focus on self-reliance and exports. “We have to focus on those crops which can dominate the world agri market,” he said.
