NEW DELHI: A Pakistani Ranger has been apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan, official sources confirmed on Saturday.
This incident follows the detention of BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw by Pakistani Rangers on April 23 near the Punjab border . Despite strong protests from India, the jawan has not been returned.

The latest development comes amid heightened tensions between the two nations after a recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam , which claimed 26 lives -- mostly tourists.
The Pakistani Ranger is currently in BSF custody under the Rajasthan frontier.
