KANPUR: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat praised Ambedkar's lifelong mission to eradicate social inequality, describing his efforts as a force that helped awaken Hindu society , reports Faiz Siddiqui. "If RSS is seen as a catalyst, then Ambedkar's efforts were also catalytic. While RSS acted as an initiator that turned the key, Ambedkar was a force that gave a push, as Hindu society was not listening," he said Monday.
Speaking at the inauguration of a Sangh Bhawan named after RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Kanpur, Bhagwat drew a symbolic connection between Ambedkar and Hedgewar. "Both dedicated their lives to societal progress and held a common aspiration for the nation's growth."
