Rupali's stepdaughter Esha breaks down in tears

Esha Verma, the stepdaughter of popular television actress Rupali Ganguly has once again made headlines as she shared an emotional video of herself crying while talking about the Anupamaa actress. Esha had previously accused her of breaking her parents’ marriage. She has now alleged that Rupali had visited her family’s New Jersey home and even slept in the same bed once shared by her parents, Ashwin and Sapna Verma.


Esha took to her Instagram handle and shared a series of stories talking about the situation. What caught many eyeballs was a video of her breaking down in tears. She reflected on the backlash she’s faced for speaking out.


In a recent emotional video shared on her Instagram handle, Esha said, “Some days you can be okay and some days you are a complete wreck. You get scrutinised for wanting to speak up and you also get questioned, ‘Where the fu*k did you go?’ When you have your own family wanting to destroy you just for trying to live your life… I tried to be happy, but we don’t talk about these things.”

She further said, “When the truth came out, expectedly and loudly, I was the one blamed. I was scared. I was unprotected. And instead of being supported, I was shamed. But after months of harassment, I’m standing my ground.”


Esha is the daughter of Ashwin and Sapna Verma. The two got married in 1997 and separated in 2008. Following Esha’s accusations, Rupali Ganguly reportedly issued a ₹50 crore defamation notice against her, claiming that Esha’s statements had severely damaged her reputation and career. The controversy continues to stir strong emotions, with Esha’s latest post sparking a new wave of discussion.
