A pretty UK village home was recently visited by reality TV star Molly-Mae Hague, where, in her latest Amazon Prime series, she described the dreamy escape as "gorgeous", and it appears that the village is popular with the stars, as she is not the only celebrity who has enjoyed a trip to the coastal spot.
In 2024, Hollywood superstar Bradley Cooper was spotted in the village with survival expert Bear Grylls, where the pair enjoyed a quiet lunch in a local cafe. Additionally, Traitors star Kate Garraway enjoyed an "amazing weekend" with her family at the seaside spot, and Coleen Rooney also shared a holiday photo in the same area. Now the renowned spot in question is Abersoch in North Wales.
Abersoch is home to plenty of affordable holiday homes, guesthouses and cottages, which are perfect for a weekend break. With the vast range of accommodation on offer, you can find hotel deals on websites, such as booking.com, Sykes Cottages, and Holiday Cottages, to find a place that suits both your budget and group size.
The picturesque village is situated on the Llyn Peninsula, also known as Pen Llyn, and is one of the most stunning and charming spots along the coast, thanks to its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and sandy beaches.
In addition to the stretches of sand, it also boasts Two Islands, a swish ice cream parlour that, according to The Sunday Times, is one of the UK's best places for ice cream, reports Wales Online.
This gem of a location, surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Irish Sea and Cardigan Bay, is an excellent alternative for a holiday abroad, as there is so much to do, a range of places to eat, and of course, places to stay.
From uncovering Iron Age forts and islands, to visiting the many coastal villages across the peninsula. There is so much to discover in this part of Wales.
Abersoch, on the southern part of the Llyn, is particularly recognised for its sandy beaches, sailing waters, and small high street that is lined with vibrant bars, restaurants, huge brands, and independent shops.
The AA previously named the spot as one of the 'best seaside destinations', describing it as a picturesque Welsh location and highlighting its large sheltered beach.
It wrote: "The top place goes to this sandy beach, which is dog-friendly and also manned by lifeguards. There are two nearby tourist attractions: the Porth y Swnt Interpretation Centre and Nant Gwrtheyrn, which is home to the National Welsh Language and Heritage Centre."
