Makeup mogul Bobbi Brown has set the record straight regarding Princess Kate's makeup and whether the future Queen did it herself. The Prince and Princess of Wales married on April 29, 2011, in what has been one of the most lavish royal wedding ceremonies since King Charles and Princess Diana's wedding in 1981.
The bride looked radiant as she arrived at Westminster Abbey in a 1978 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, and millions of people around the world held their breath as they waited to see her stunning dress. At the time, it was rumoured that the princess did the makeup herself, but there was no confirmation or denial that the claim was true.
Now, makeup artist Bobbi Brown has revealed that Kate did use her products, but it wasn't her who applied them.
Speaking on the Breaking Beauty podcast, Ms Brown, 68, told hosts Carlene Higgins and Jill Dunn: "I did not do her makeup. I wish I did. It was one of my artists, Hannah Martin, who's become quite a sensation in the UK."
She added: "Hannah did give me some information that I should set my alarm and watch. And we were texting back and forth, and she's like, 'Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god'."
The make-up mogul, whose eponymous brand is loved by millions worldwide, said the future Queen did send a note following her special day.
She said: "I did get a note though, that I have hanging now in my office, not from Kate, but from the person that wrote her letters saying how much she appreciated the makeup."

Asked about why they did not claim credit for Kate's make-up look, Ms Brown said: "We didn't as a company use it - no one did that back then. It wasn't the right thing to do."
Princess Kate's half-updo was styled by hairdressers James Pryce and Richard Ward from the Richard Ward Salon in London.
The hairstyle was meticulously done to hold her stunning Cartier Halo tiara securely in place and avoid a repeat of Princess Diana's wedding, where she was seen having to readjust the glittering piece throughout the ceremony.
Mr Pryce previously told the Telegraph: "We came up with a unique concept for securing it.
"We backcombed the top to create a foundation for the tiara to sit around, then did a tiny plait in the middle and sewed it on. I've never seen anything like it in my life."
