Prince William and Princess Kate have shared their excitement ahead of their two-day visit to the "beautiful" spot where their relationship blossomed in the early 2000s. The couple, who tied the knot in London in 2011, will be paying a visit to Scotland on April 29 and 30.
, 43, and , 42, will be , a day which they are also marking their 14th wedding anniversary. Taking to Instagram, the couple have shared their excitement with a "beautiful" video of clips of Scotland.
The caption read, "Looking forward to celebrating and connecting with rural island communities in the beautiful Inner Hebrides", following by the Scottish flag emoji.
The clips capture the beautiful sights of Mull, which is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides and lies off the west coast of Scotland in the council area of Argyll and Bute.
The couple met whilst they were both students at the University of St Andrews back in the early 2000s. Kate and William have since built a strong connection to Scotland, with sources since sharing that "it's impossible to exaggerate their love [for the country]."
During their two-day visit, Kate and William will spend time with members of the local communities "reflecting on the power of social connection and the importance of protecting and championing the natural environment", Kensington Palace have shared.
Upon their arrival, the couple will visit an artisan market in the Mull town of Tobermory, meeting some of the island's makers and creators before heading to a local croft to learn about sustainable farming and hospitality.
On the second day of their visit, they will visit an ancient woodland and join a local school group for an outdoor lesson.
Kate and William will mark the end of their trip by taking a public ferry to Iona. Iona has a population of around 170 people but receives around 130,000 visitors a year.
Since their wedding day, the couple have wecomed three children together - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 7.
