presenter Patrick Christys has taken a swipe at Good Morning Britain's after she ripped into about a video of himself delivering so-called 'vigilante justice' to people he accused of fare dodging on the London Underground. Reposting the clip on X, Christys wrote: "Does Susanna Reid ever get the tube? I believe she is driven to and from work every day. I wonder if she ever comes into contact with the kind of rampant lawlessness that the rest of us do?" Christys' wife, fellow GB News presenter Emily Carver also took umbrage at the clip on her page. "They seem to really despise him! Odd interview," she penned alongside the clip.
The posts came after in which he . On the programme, Reid was keen to know whether Jenrick reported to the police that someone could be carrying a knife on the tube.
"I haven't done," he confessed as a frustrated Reid asked: "Why not?" The politician explained: "I didn't feel the need to do that. It's not about me, the video, is it?"
The presenter hit back: "It's absolutely not about you. Somebody told you they were carrying a knife on the London Underground and you didn't report it to the police."
Jenrick said they escorted another person to the British Transport Police, however, the man in the video simply walked away. The ITV host was still baffled by the fact he didn't report the incident to the police.
Jenrick said the video is out there if the police want to investigate, adding: "I didn't want this to be about me. This was about raising a point about crime and trying to push the authorities..."
Reid interjected: "Which do you think is more serious? Do you think it's fare dodging or carrying knives?"
The politician said being threatened with a knife is more serious, but insisted they are both important issues. The conversation briefly moved on before Reid later said: "They suggested that they were carrying a knife, which is implicitly a threat."
Once again, Jenrick explained he didn't want the video to be about him, leading Reid to declare: "I don't want to be disrespectful to you. You made it all about you. The video is literally all about you. To say that you didn't report what was said to you because you didn't want to make it all about you is disingenuous."
The politician disagreed, hitting back: "I don't think that's right, Susanna. What I was trying to do was raise the issue and I've done that."
