Chelsea's young midfielder, Andrey Santos, was the target of two substantial offers this summer, it has now been disclosed. The 20-year-old Brazilian international has made appearances in all three of Chelsea's Premier League games so far, but is yet to secure a starting position and has only clocked up a total of 48 minutes on the pitch.
However, Enzo Maresca has personally advocated for Santos to remain in west London following his impressive loan stint with sister club Strasbourg last season. Recently, Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah tabled an offer worth up to £59.5million for his services.
But Santos wasn't convinced about relocating to the Middle East as he is currently focused on securing a spot in Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad for next summer's World Cup.
West Ham also lodged a £45m bid in August but were informed that the former Nottingham Forest loanee was not on the market.
