ITV is once again whisking us off to the enchanting realm of Harry Potter, with the thrilling conclusion of the iconic series set to light up our telly screens today (Sunday).
Ideal for a spellbinding weekend getaway, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 features Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as Harry, Ron and Hermione, and sees the legendary trio make their final return to Hogwarts in a desperate search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes.
The film is a maelstrom of rapid-fire action, heart-pounding moments, and, naturally, magic, as Harry squares off against his archenemy in an extraordinary face-off.
Director David Yates goes all out in this grand finale, delivering a rendition of the famed Battle of Hogwarts that exceeded all Potter fans' expectations.
However, while the film doesn't fall short on its larger set pieces, it's the quieter, more emotional scenes that truly hit home.
The late Alan Rickman's portrayal of Severus Snape is deeply moving and one of the legendary actor's most unforgettable roles. Rickman is joined by the equally iconic Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall, and Robbie Coltrane's cherished Rubeus Hagrid.
With a new adaptation of JK Rowling's series on the horizon, this is the perfect opportunity to revisit what will soon be known as 'the original Harry Potter'.
And given the pressure of wrapping up such a beloved franchise, it's fair to say critics and fans adored this finale.
The film was a worldwide hit, raking in over £1.5 billion at the box office and boasting a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
One enthusiast said: "An exciting conclusion to a long-running, fun franchise. This is a satisfying ending as much as a heartfelt goodbye."
Another fan proclaimed: "The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is, in my personal opinion, the best Harry Potter movie in the entire series. The Battle of Hogwarts is a work of cinematic genius."
A third viewer said: "An amazing ending to an amazing franchise."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is on ITV at 4.10pm today (Sunday).
