Tom Grennan announces he's become a dad in sweet post

Singer-songwriter Tom Grennan has announced that he's become a father. In a post celebrating his latest career achievement this week, he told fans that whilst music gave him a "purpose," being a parent now gives him "everything".

Tom, 30, shared the news with his followers on Instagram earlier this evening. The update on his life away comes after he married pilates instructor Danniella Carraturo, whom he's said to have met in 2020, in a wedding ceremony in May last year.

The Brit Award nominee shared the news in a post celebrating his new album Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn't Want to Be having topped the charts in the UK this week. It's his third consecutive chart-topping album.

Tom, who is known for songs like Little Bit of Love, said that his latest success coming as he steps into fatherhood is the "greatest gift". He expressed excitement over the future in the post and thanked fans for their support.

The post, which was shared on Instagram this evening, included a photo of his child holding the musician's trophy for topping the charts again. Other photos featured in the post showed Tom celebrating the achievement.

He wrote in the post: "From the kid who never thought he'd make it, to three consecutive number one albums, joining an esteemed club to do so with the likes of The Beatles & Oasis - words will never be enough for the gratitude I feel."

Announcing he's become a parent, Tom added: "To now be stepping into fatherhood at the same time is the greatest gift I could ever imagine. Music gave me purpose, but being a dad gives me everything. Here’s to the past that built me, the present that grounds me, and the future I can’t wait for!"

He concluded by writing: "Thanks to all the fans for once again making my dreams a reality, I really couldn't do it without you all. It's going to be amazing to see so many of you on the upcoming tour in September. Honestly I'm so excited for what's to come, we are just getting started."

Fans congratulated Tom over the news in the comments section on the platform this evening. One person wrote in their reaction to his post: "Congratulations. Absolutely deserved and congratulations on your bundle of joy."

Another follower wrote to Tom: "Congratulations on both. Musician of the moment and now a Daddy too!" A third person commented: "Absolutely well deserved. Massive congrats bro for the album and on becoming a Dad."

Someone else said: "Congratulations on your no 1 album so well deserved. Congtatulations to you both on becoming parents it's the best experience you will ever have." Whilst another fan wrote tonight: "Huge congratulations to you both."
