Ricky Hatton's manager has heartbreakingly revealed the boxer had planned to attend an Oasis concert with his daughters before he discovered the ex-fighter dead at his home in Manchester.
The former world champion was found lifeless at home on September 14 by his long-time friend and manager Paul Speak at the age of 46. Tributes have been pouring in for the 'Hitman' - who has been hailed as one of the greatest UK fighters of his generation. The Stockport-born fighter had spoken openly about his personal battles outside of the ring.
In an interview with Boxing News Magazine, Speak disclosed: "The lights weren't on, which I thought was strange. I thought he'd overslept, but it's not unusual. People do oversleep.", reports All Out Fighting. Mr Speak revealed Hatton had arranged to take his daughters Millie and Fearne to see Oasis next week, and was also organising a holiday trip to Tenerife at Christmas.
Speak continued: "There were so many things for him to live for – he was in a really good place." Hatton's funeral will take place on Friday, October 10 at Manchester Cathedral. Fans will also be able to pay their respects as the funeral procession makes its way towards the cathedral.

Entry to the service - which is due to begin at around midday - is by invitation only. The 'Hitman' hung up his gloves in 2012 after suffering a knockout loss to Vyacheslav Senchenko. Throughout his career, Hatton triumphed over numerous legendary fighters, including Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo.
He also stepped into the ring with both Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao in 2007 and 2009 respectively, though he suffered defeats in both encounters. Hatton was scheduled to make his comeback in December - 13 years after his final professional bout - against Dubai's inaugural professional boxer Eisa Al Dah.
Numerous legendary figures rushed to honour the boxing icon while Hatton's devastated son Campbell said: "Heartbroken isn't the word. Everybody has always said I was your double and never a truer word said," he continued. "Looked up to you in every aspect of life. Can't explain how much I'm going to miss the laughs we had and all the good times which I will remember forever. Just can't believe we won't have anymore. Love you dad."
In a touching tribute following the Brit's death, his family declared: "Richard was so much more than a world champion. To us he was simply 'Richard', our son. A loving father, grandfather, and brother, and a true friend to many. He had a heart as big as his smile, and his kindness, humour and loyalty touched everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
"To the wider world, Richard will always be remembered as one of boxing's greatest champions - a man who gave everything inside the ring and wore his heart on his sleeve outside of it. He inspired generations with his fighting spirit, his humility, and his love for the sport. But beyond the titles, the nights to remember, and the roar of the crowd, he remained the same down-to-earth Richard who never forgot where he came from.
"As a family, our loss is immeasurable, and words cannot truly capture the pain we feel. Yet in the midst of our grief, we have been deeply moved by the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. It has been a source of great comfort to see just how many lives Richard touched, and how widely he was admired and respected.
"At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we come to terms with life without him. In the days and weeks ahead, we will take strength from one another and from the knowledge that Richard's legacy - both in boxing and as a man - will continue to live on. Richard's memory will forever remain in our hearts, in the hearts of his fans, and in the sport he loved so dearly."
