A man has found himself living in a real life “horror movie plot” after his little sister “introduced” him to her best friend. Many horror films play on the idea of a creepy or unnerving “friend” character getting close to a child, much to the dismay and concern of their family - but now one man is experiencing it in real life.
Halloween is just around the corner, with many people keen to make the most of the season by embracing all things spooky and eerie. A content creator, who goes by the name Amz online, got quite a shock when his younger sister wanted to show him a picture she’d drawn.
The illustration features the little girl alongside her parents and her “best friend”, Steve - but Steve doesn’t look at all like the rest of the people in her picture.

While her drawing features standard, expected iterations of her parents and herself holding hands while standing on grass as the sun beats down, Steve is a lot more detailed - and inhuman.
Steve has been drawn in dark colours with an exaggerated, wide and toothy grin. His mouth is red and purple while his eyes match, also in red. He appears to be on a lead being held by the little girl.
Amz shared the story on TikTok, filming himself being shown the drawing while he asked his younger sister to narrate who was who.
Amz began: “What do you want to show me?”
His sister replied: “My picture I drew”. The camera then pans over the illustration as she says: “That’s daddy, that’s mummy, and that’s me.”
To the right hand side of the image is Steve. Amz asked his sister to explain who Steve was but she simply confirmed he was her “friend”.
Amz then said: “Your imaginary friend?” To which, his little sister answered: “My best friend.”
In shock, Amz said: “Your best friend Steve. You’ve got a friend that looks like this?”
She reiterated again that Steve was her best friend, prompting Amz to stand up and joke: “I’m leaving the house.”
The video struck a chord with fellow TikTok users, racking up more than 15.4 million views on the hit social media platform, as well as 2.3 million likes, 125,000 saves and thousands of comments from people keen to share their thoughts.
One person said: “how are you so calm” Another quipped: “To be fair she does have him on a leash”.
A third said: “you can see the raw fear in his eyes”. And a fourth joked: “see you at Netflix”.
Someone else said: “This is [the] shortest horror movie ever”. Another echoed this line of thinking and said: “That’s a horror movie plot good luck”.
One person wondered: “Yeah but why did she put more detail in Steve and not mum or dad or even herself”, to which Amz replied: “Forget that, she didn’t even draw me”.
One TikTok user commented: “It's an imaginary friend..... Right?” Another said: “She didn’t say imaginary..... she emphasised on best friend and not imaginary”.
And another added: “Welp. I’m going to scroll on. Best of luck with Steve and all that.”
