Death in Paradise fans pining for their regular Saint Marie fix can now watch a film featuring one of the show's beloved actors.

Ben Miller, who is known for his role in the BBCsmash hit, starred in the 2003 crime comedy The Actors, and it is currently available to stream on Channel 4's platform. Fans have until October 11 to catch the Irish flick, which also boasts Dylan Moran and Michael Caine among its cast, reports Wales Online.

Set in Dublin, the plot revolves around two actors, portrayed by Dylan and Michael, who must use their acting prowess to survive after they swindle a retired mobster.

The actor's TV credits include Primeval, Doc Martin, and Moving Wallpaper, but he's perhaps best known for his portrayal of Detective Inspector Richard Poole in several episodes of Death in Paradise, a series set on the fictitious Caribbean island of Saint Marie.

He donned the mantle of DI Poole in the first two seasons of the popular show, making subsequent appearances in the third and 10th series.

Since its inception in 2011, Death in Paradise has been a massive hit with audiences. Its 14th season concluded in March, and it has also broadcast several special episodes.

The spin-off series, Beyond Paradise, kicked off in 2023, featuring former Saint Marie officer Humphrey Goodman (played by Kris Marshall) as he embarks on a fresh start in Devon.

It has been announced that Death in Paradise, now starring Don Gilet as the lead Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson, is set to return for a 15th season. In April, the show's official Instagram account excited fans with an announcement. "We're back in paradise!" it said.
