According to the Defence Ministry, Pakistan, rattled by India's retaliatory action, has increased unprovoked shelling near the Line of Control using mortars and cannons in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir on the Line of Control and the International Border. Frustrated by India's military action under Operation Sindoor against the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistan attacked Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur and Jaisalmer with drones, missiles and fighter planes on Thursday night, which was foiled by Indian air defense systems S-400 and Akash.

 

Not only this, two Chinese-made JF-17, American-made F-16 and AWACS aircraft of Pakistan were shot down in their own territory. These three fighter aircraft were moving with the intention of attacking India. Two Pakistani pilots who fell in the Indian territory after ejecting from their aircraft have also been arrested in Jaisalmer and Akhnoor.

Pakistan has intensified shelling on the Line of Control and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir. After this, India showered missiles and drones on nine important cities of Pakistan like the capital Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Sialkot, Bahawalpur. After the attacks in the late evening, an emergency meeting of the chiefs of the three armies was held under the leadership of the CDS.

 

 

 

It is understood that in this meeting a decision has been taken to take stronger action against Pakistan for its audacity. NSA Doval met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and informed him about the latest situation. India has warned that Pakistan's attempt to increase the conflict will be given a befitting reply. After the attack by Pakistan in the evening, the IPL match being held in Dharamsala was stopped for security reasons.

 

The special thing is that like on Wednesday night, on Thursday also the Indian Army targeted Pakistani installations while staying within its borders. Earlier on Wednesday-Thursday night, Pakistan made unsuccessful attempts to attack military installations with missiles and drones in 15 cities of the border areas from Jammu-Kashmir and Punjab to Gujarat.
