Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Markets burst into colour and cheer this Sunday as the city geared up for Rakshabandhan, just days away. Streets brimmed with temporary stalls offering everything from traditional threads to gold, silver and bracelet-style rakhis.
Themes like Om, Swastik, Radha-Krishna and “Best Bro” were popular, while kids flocked to cartoon rakhis featuring Chhota Bheem, Spiderman and Motu Patlu. Light, sound and spinner rakhis added extra sparkle.
At Rajwada, Patnipura, Malwa Mill and Krishnapura bridge, the festive footfall was evident. Women-led home businesses added charm with eco-friendly and handmade rakhi collections. Clay, cloth and even cow dung designs with embedded seeds are also available.
