Karwa Chauth Puja Metal: The Karwa Chauth fast is observed on Kartik Sankashti Chaturthi. It is celebrated exactly 12 days before Diwali. Karwa Chauth is one of the biggest and most important fasts for married women. The Karwa Chauth fast holds great significance in Hinduism. This year, Karwa Chauth falls on Friday, October 10th. According to beliefs, on this day, women observe a day-long fast without water, praying for their husbands' long life. Afterward, they break their fast by offering water to the Moon God at night and drinking water from their husbands' hands. Let us tell you that during the Karwa Chauth fast, a karwa is used for worship, which is available in the market, made of various metals. This raises the question: which metal is considered the best? What is the religious significance of brass, silver, and copper? Unnao's astrologer Rishikant Mishra Shastri explains:

Which metal karwa is best for worship?
The presence of a karwa is extremely important in the Karwa Chauth puja. This is the ritual of worshipping the rising moon. Metals like copper, silver, gold, brass, and Ashta Dhatu are considered best for this purpose, as they are sacred and auspicious. Of these, silver, being the metal of the moon, is considered best for peace of mind and positive energy, while an earthen pot is also considered auspicious because it symbolizes the five elements.
Religious Significance of Brass, Silver, and Copper?
Brass: Brass is considered pure and sacred in the scriptures. Therefore, brass utensils are used in any puja. Religious belief holds that water kept in brass utensils is pure. When you use a brass pot to offer water to the moon, it is said that its water absorbs the moon's rays. Consuming this water will bring good health.
Silver: Silver metal for the pot is considered a symbol of peace and prosperity. Silver is also known as the moon's metal, which helps calm the mind. Therefore, when you place water in a silver pot, it becomes even more sacred and cool. When the moon's rays fall on it, it increases your good fortune.

Copper: Most women use a copper pot during Karva Chauth rituals. This metal is considered a symbol of purity and auspiciousness. Therefore, using a copper pot during Karva Chauth rituals is considered auspicious. It is said that a copper pot brings happiness to your married life.
