Registration for round 1 of the Central Admission Process (CAP) for First Year Junior College ( FYJC) in Maharashtra will open at 11 AM on Wednesday.
More than 20 lakh seats are available statewide for FYJC admissions, with Pune division offering 3,75,843 seats—comprising 1,03,705 for science, 1,01,971 for commerce, and 1,70,170 for arts.
Out of the 20 lakh seats available across 9,281 colleges in the state, 8,52,206 are designated for science, 5,40,312 for commerce, and 6,50,682 for arts.
The registration deadline is 6 PM on May 28. Students must log in to mahafyjcadmissions.in and choose up to 10 junior colleges as their preferences. The provisional merit list for Round 1 will be published on May 30, followed by the final merit list on June 3.
This year, with the admission process moving entirely online across the state, students can apply to junior colleges anywhere in Maharashtra without needing to visit the colleges in person to submit their applications.
