Washington [US], April 21 (ANI): Actor and musician Joey Lawrence recently recalled his first-ever fishing trip as a kid with legendary comedy star John Candy.
Joey talked about the "craziest" thing that happened to him on a movie set in his more than 30-year career during the panel with his brothers Matthew Lawrence and Andrew "Andy" Lawrence at 90s Con at the Connecticut Convention Centre in Hartford, Connecticut, reported People.
He recalled that he once went fishing with two famous Hollywood personalities. "I caught a flounder in St. Petersburg, Florida, with Carl Reiner, who's a very famous director, and I didn't even realise who he was, but he was very famous back in the '60s, the '50s and '70s," Joey said, as per the outlet.
"Anyway, I was doing a movie called Summer Rental with John Candy. I caught a flounder. First time I'd ever fished. An incredible-sized flounder. I guess it was a massive flounder, and the chef cooked it and John Candy ate it for lunch," he continued, adding, "John Candy's the best," reported People.
In 1985 American comedy film directed by Carl Reiner, 'Summer Rental', Joey played John Candy's son. It also stars Richard Crenna with supporting roles by Rip Torn, Karen Austin, Kerri Green, John Larroquette, Joey Lawrence, Aubrey Jene, Dick Anthony Williams, Richard Herd, Carmine Caridi, Lois Hamilton, Frank McCarthy, Santos Morales, Pierrino Mascarino, Harry Yorku, and Bob Wells.
