Nicolas Jackson responds to Chelsea transfer announcement amid Bayern Munich 'agreement'

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson appears set for a move to Bayern Munich in the final days of the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old has been exiled from Enzo Maresca's squad after both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap were signed ahead of the 2025/26 season

Mamadou Sarr, Dario Essugo, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato have also joined recently with Alejandro Garnacho, Xavi Simons and Fermin Lopez still being targeted.

That triple move has made sanctioning exits a real priority, with Jackson joined by Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell and Christopher Nkunku as players still at Stamford Bridge and up for sale.

An agreement for the latter to join AC Milan has now been reached with Chelsea hoping to receive up to £36.3million (€42m). RB Leipzig were showing an interest in bringing him back to Germany with the two parties in regular discussions regarding Simons.

Tottenham have since joined the race to sign the Netherlands international - who is now in London to resolve his future - in their search for a creative midfielder after losing out on Eberechi Eze to Arsenal. It now appears to be more likely he joins Spurs, but Chelsea are still in the race.

A groin injury to Cole Palmer, which seemingly worsened ahead of the 5-1 win against West Ham, and several attacking options leaving the club has made a move for Simons more than justified.

Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Noni Madueke and Carney Chukwuemeka are among those to have been moved on from the club on a permanent basis.

The latter has been joined at Borussia Dortmund by Aaron Anselmino with the Argentine defender arriving on a season-long loan. His temporary switch was made official on Wednesday with Jackson, Tosin Adarabioyo and Marc Guiu all liking Chelsea's announcement on Instagram.

It could very soon be Jackson at the centre of a social media post from the club withSky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenbergreporting that he is set for a loan move to Bayern with Jackson and the German champions now 100 per cent in agreement.

That report has also claimed that advanced negotiations with Chelsea are ongoing but that some details still need to be clarified. Bayern had shown a serious interest in Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade but he is set to join Newcastle United in a stunning £77.8million (€90m) deal.

Alexander Isak's chances of joining Liverpool then look set to increase with his future playing a role in Chelsea's final decision regarding Jackson, as per the Telegraph.
