Chelsea kick off their Champions League campaign away to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, and something has got to give. Enzo Maresca has seen his team go unbeaten through the first four weeks of the Premier League season, while Bayern aren't just unbeaten in the Bundesliga but have won three out of three.
The Blues are back at European football's top table for the first time since the 2022/23 season, when they fell to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. However, they come into the competition as the holders of the Conference League and Club World Cup, having beaten European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the latter.
Chelsea could welcome Cole Palmer back into the starting line-up in Bavaria after the England international made a scoring return from the bench against Brentford on Saturday. Bayern Munich vs Chelsea kicks off at 8pm UK time on Wednesday, September 16. It is one of four matches kicking off at that time, alongside Ajax vs Inter Milan, Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain vs Atalanta.
Chelsea's match is one of many available to watch on TNT Sports in the UK. Coverage will begin on TNT Sports 2, with build-up beginning at 7pm, and fans can also watch through the Discovery+ app.
There will also be an opportunity for fans to watch highlights of the game if unable to follow it live. BBC One will have a weekly Champions League highlights show, which this week will be available to watch from 10.40pm.
What if I'm not in the UK?A number of international broadcasters will be showing Champions League football this season. Paramount+ holds the rights in the United States, while Stan Sport is the place to watch in Australia and a full list of rights-holders elsewhere can be found on UEFA's website.
